- 16,000 Gallons Waste Water Biodegradation
- 3,500 ppm Diesel, Oil & Grease
- 11 ppm After 10 Days Biodegradation
In March of 1992, a major power company in Wisconsin was cited for violations of the current oil/grease limitations in the water delivered to a POTW. The city reported receiving oil and grease levels in wastewater of 3554 ppm. Daily maximum levels are 100 ppm for oil and grease. These oil and grease levels were generated from power generating operations. The company could not haul contaminated water offsite for disposal due to the excessive contamination.

BioGenesis was contracted to bioremediate 16,000 gallons of diesel contaminated water.
BioGenesis added 60 gallons of BG-BioEnhancer 850 and 5 gallons of BG- Clean 402 to the water tank at ambient temperature. A recirculation pipe submerged in the tank kept water moving for an optimal biodegradation environment.
After only 10 days, the diesel level dropped from 3554 ppm to 11 ppm. This remedial action allowed the power company to deliver the water to the city's POTW for disposal in a timely manner.
