Signs and Symptoms of Exposure

Eyes Irritation may occur with prolonged exposure to concentrated vapors. May cause corneal inflammation.

Skin Repeated or prolonged contact can cause reddening of the skin, scaling, and dermatitis.

Inhalation This material is a negligible hazard due to its low volatility. If vapor is present in high concentrations, irritation to upper respiratory tract may occur.

Ingestion Slightly toxic. May produce signs of intoxication characterized by incoordination, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, mental confusion, possibly slurred speech and stupor, depending on the quantity of material ingested.

First Aid

Eyes Flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical aid.

Skin Flush affected area and wash with mild soap and water.

Inhalation Remove to fresh air; provide oxygen if breathing is difficult; give artificial respiration if not breathing. Seek medical attention.

Ingestion Do not give liquids if victim is unconscious or very drowsy. Otherwise, give no more than two glasses of water and induce vomiting. Get medical attention.
